Pretty Poppy!
Poppy is a super friendly girl who has quickly won hearts with everyone she’s met at the shelter. While the shelter environment has left her feeling a little anxious and stressed at times, she’s already shown that she can settle and relax once she feels comfortable. With patience, understanding and a gentle approach, Poppy’s sweet personality shines through.
This lovely lady is playful for her age and still enjoys a bit of fun, especially when plush toys are involved. Whether she’s carrying around a favourite soft toy or inviting you to join in a game, Poppy brings a lovely mix of affection and playful energy. She’s also tested well with other dogs and could happily be rehomed as an only dog, soaking up all the attention for herself, or potentially with another small to medium-sized dog who shares her gentle temperament.
Poppy is still building confidence when it comes to handling and touch, so she’ll need a family willing to move at her pace and help her feel safe. She’s also working on her leash manners and can be a bit of a zig-zagger on walks when something catches her interest. Consistent, positive reinforcement training will help her gain confidence and polish her walking skills, while also strengthening the bond with her new family.
Like many dogs settling into a new home, Poppy isn’t fully house trained and will need continued guidance and routine. She also requires regular grooming to keep her looking and feeling her best. Due to her breed’s specific needs, previous breed experience is highly recommended. For the right family, Poppy will be a wonderfully rewarding companion whose confidence will blossom beautifully with love, patience and care. 💕

How Adoption Works
Our adoption process is designed to match pets with the right families, making it easy and stress-free.
Plan
Think about your home, lifestyle, and long-term commitment. Make sure you’re ready to provide a loving, permanent home for a cat or dog.
Search
When you begin your search for a furry friend, read each animal’s description carefully. This ensures both you and the pet will be a purrfect match.
Apply
Submit your adoption application with accurate details so our team can determine the best fit for the animal. Please be patient with us as we review large amounts of applications.
Visit
If approved, schedule a meet-and-greet session. Spend time with the pet to confirm a good fit before finalising adoption.
