Terry is a lovely, affectionate boy who truly enjoys human company. He is friendly and social with strangers and has been welcoming to everyone he has met. On walks, Terry loves to stay close to his handler, often leaning into you for reassurance and connection. He is a gentle soul at heart and enjoys being part of the action, making him a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal best friend.

Terry is still working on his general obedience, socialisation, and impulse control, particularly when food is involved. Having arrived very underweight, he is an extremely hungry boy and is often on the lookout for his next meal. While he is generally a gentleman, food can bring out some pushy and rude behaviours, so his new family will need to be committed to ongoing training and consistent management around feeding times.

As a large, strong dog who can be boisterous at times, Terry is looking for a home with experience handling large-breed dogs. He would benefit from a confident handler who can continue building his manners and help him develop better spatial awareness. Due to his size and enthusiasm, Terry would be best suited to a home with older, confident children who are comfortable around bigger dogs.

Terry could potentially live with another confident medium to large breed dog, with a calm female companion being the preferred match at this stage. If he is rehomed with another dog, separate feeding arrangements will be essential due to his intense interest in food. Terry has not been tested with cats. With the right guidance, structure, and plenty of love, this handsome boy has all the makings of a fantastic family companion. 🐾
