Description
Elly May and Molly are a sweet, highly bonded pair who adore people and take comfort in each other’s company. These two girls are friendly, engaging, and wonderfully social with everyone they meet, always ready for affection and attention. Because they rely on one another so deeply, they are looking for a home where they can stay together and continue being the little team they’ve always been. They’re also open to living with kids, as long as the children are gentle and respectful of their space.
On walks, both girls do well on the lead and only pull occasionally, happily trotting along side by side. They can be a little barky when they see other dogs, especially because they tend to set each other off, when one barks, the other joins in, but it’s not excessive or aggressive. Elly May is the more vocal of the two and sometimes barks because she wants to greet the other dog, while Molly is a bit quieter and follows her sister’s lead. They’re best suited to a home with no other dogs, simply because they’re happiest as a duo.
In the shelter, neither girl is housetrained yet, but they are bright, people‑oriented, and eager to please, which makes them great candidates for positive, reward‑based training. With patience, routine, and consistency, they’ll quickly learn what’s expected of them. Their affectionate nature and desire to be close to their humans will make training a lovely bonding experience for everyone involved.
Elly May and Molly are charming, cheerful little dogs who bring out the best in each other and everyone around them. They’re looking for a loving home that appreciates their gentle personalities, enjoys their sweet quirks, and is ready to help them continue growing in confidence. With kindness, structure, and a family who loves them as much as they love each other, these two girls will blossom into the happiest, most devoted companions. Apply Now for the opportunity to meet this delightful duo. 🐾
