When Bertie arrived at AAPS, he was critically unwell—severely malnourished, vomiting, and struggling to walk. Our veterinary team acted immediately, discovering complications from previous liver shunt surgery. AAPS funded a second, life‑saving operation. Today, Bertie is pain‑free and thriving, greeting each day with energy and excitement for his next adventure.
Blueberry and her kittens came to AAPS as strays. During a routine check, our vet discovered a lump—inside it, a bullet. Blueberry had been shot during her time on the streets. Following treatment and recovery, Blueberry was adopted into a loving home where she is now safe, calm and cherished..
Tinkerbell arrived with multiple health concerns, including brachycephalic restricted airway syndrome. AAPS funded over $4,000 in specialist surgery and placed her into foster care during recovery. She has since made a remarkable recovery and has been adopted by a family experienced in caring for her breed.
Cheska came into our care with severely sunburnt, cancerous ears and a large mass near her tail. AAPS arranged urgent surgery to remove the cancer. Following her recovery, Cheska was adopted and is now living the happy, loved life she always deserved.
