Meet Benson Bee, a gorgeous young pup with a big heart and an even bigger love for people. This affectionate, friendly boy is always happy to say hello and confidently approaches new people for attention and cuddles. Benson thrives on human company and enjoys being involved in whatever his people are doing. He is gentle to handle, comfortable with touch, and is happy being picked up, making him a lovely companion to spend time with.

Like any young puppy, Benson is still learning about the world around him. While he is confident with people, he can be a little unsure when faced with unfamiliar environments, sounds, and experiences. His new family will need to continue building his confidence through positive socialisation and carefully managed exposure to new places, people, and situations. Ongoing training and general obedience will help him grow into a well-rounded and resilient adult dog.

Benson could live with children aged 10 years and over, and may also be suitable for younger dog-savvy children who have previous experience around dogs and understand how to interact respectfully. He could happily share his home with another well-matched dog of either sex, provided they have a similar calm temperament and are not overly young or overwhelming. He would also do well as the only dog in the home, as long as he continues to enjoy regular social opportunities through walks, training classes, dog friends, or social groups.

A typical puppy, Benson enjoys playtime and loves engaging with toys, although he should not have access to small toys due to his age and enthusiasm and desire to put everything in his mouth. He is highly food motivated and particularly enjoys enrichment activities such as Kongs, puzzle feeders, and reward-based training sessions. While he is not yet house trained in the shelter environment, he keeps his sleeping area clean and toilets separately, which is a great foundation for success in his new home. Benson is looking for a family with experience with Staffy or bully-type breeds who are committed to continuing his training, socialisation, and confidence-building journey.
