Beautiful Banjo!
Banjo is a sweet and gentle Kelpie boy who is looking for a patient home willing to help him continue building his confidence. While he may seem a little reserved when first meeting new people, Banjo has a lovely personality that shines through once he feels comfortable. He will often approach visitors in his pen, but he doesn’t naturally seek out a lot of interaction and prefers to take things at his own pace.
It is recommend that Banjo’s adopters have a good understanding of canine body language and allow him slow, positive introductions to new people and situations. He can be head shy and doesn’t enjoy hands reaching over the top of his head, but when approached respectfully and given space to make his own choices, he responds beautifully and becomes much more willing to engage.
Banjo is not a boisterous dog and has a calm, thoughtful nature. One of the best ways to bring him out of his shell is through play. He has excellent toy drive and absolutely loves a game of tug, chasing a ball, and playing with squeaky toys. Once you’ve spent some time interacting with him in a way he enjoys, he becomes noticeably more confident and will happily approach for further interaction. He is also very gentle when taking treats (which he loves), walks nicely on lead, and is mostly house trained.
With continued socialisation and confidence-building experiences, Banjo has the potential to flourish into a wonderful companion. He may be suitable to live with another small to medium-sized dog of a similar temperament and energy level, pending a successful meet. For someone willing to invest a little time and patience, Banjo is a rewarding and affectionate boy who is ready to form a strong bond with his new family. 🐾💙

How Adoption Works
Our adoption process is designed to match pets with the right families, making it easy and stress-free.
Plan
Think about your home, lifestyle, and long-term commitment. Make sure you’re ready to provide a loving, permanent home for a cat or dog.
Search
When you begin your search for a furry friend, read each animal’s description carefully. This ensures both you and the pet will be a purrfect match.
Apply
Submit your adoption application with accurate details so our team can determine the best fit for the animal. Please be patient with us as we review large amounts of applications.
Visit
If approved, schedule a meet-and-greet session. Spend time with the pet to confirm a good fit before finalising adoption.
