Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the AAPS

Our volunteer team, which currently stands at around 160, is one of the biggest assets to our shelter and provides essential assistance in caring for the animals the shelter houses. Without volunteers, our shelter could not continue to save the thousands of animals we do every year. Volunteering is a rewarding experience, and our animals are the ones who reap the benefits of our volunteer community’s generosity. If you have any questions before applying, please feel free to contact Jamie, volunteermanager@aaps.org.au

To volunteer, you need to be:

  • Over 18 years old
  • Be able to commit to a regular shift

Please review the below current positions and hit apply if any of them are of interest. Please allow up to a week before being notified. We’re also a registered not-for-profit organisation with Centrelink for jobseekers.
