Boo is the most BOOTIFUL big baby!!!

He is 3 years old, and at almost 50kg he is a whole lot of dog – but he truly is a gentle giant, (even if sometimes he doesn’t realise how big he is and thinks he’s a lap dog!)

He is an incredibly sweet and sociable boy. He loves to meet new human friends and is always keen for a pat or a cuddle. He hasn’t shown much of a playful side in the shelter, but we are sure that he will blossom into a playful, happy-go-lucky pup with his forever family.

Boo does like meeting doggy friends, but he can be a little over excited at times. He would be best suited as the only dog in the home for the time being while he continues to develop his doggy social skills.

He has lived with cats in the past quite happily, and could potentially live with a confident dog-friendly kitty in the future with a slow intro!

Although he is super-duper friendly with all people big and small, we believe he would be best suited to a home with kids over the age of 8 due to his size and strength.

He is a strong boy (naturally!) and is looking for a home with a family who have experience with large breeds and are confident behind the lead.

He does have slightly sore hips and legs due to a mild case of hip dysplasia, but our vets have started him on a series of injections called cartrophen that has helped significantly reduce his discomfort. He will need to continue these ongoing, however luckily they are very affordable! Boo came into our care a little underweight and with some untreated skin irritation and an ear infection, but he is well on his way to recovery and is already feeling a lot better with the help of a special diet and some TLC!
