Ethical Market Stallholder conditions

STALLHOLDER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bring all your own equipment including marquees, tables and seating. Marquees are not essential, but highly recommend.
  • Market Stall Public Liability insurance is mandatory for all stallholders. You must provide a copy of this to the event manager.
  • If you are selling/providing a product for consumption, you need to apply for a Streatrader.
  • If you require power, this must be communicated at your time of application. We have limited power supply. Please ensure you mention how many AMPs you need. If you need power, you will need to bring your own extension cords measuring approximately 15 meters.
  • Stallholders are asked to promote the event. This can include Facebook/Instagram posts or stories, email campaigns, website advertisements, printed media etc. If you require any images, information or support for promotional materials, please contact communications@aaps.org.au.
  • Stallholders must pay a stallholder fee of $65. This must be paid 2 weeks before the event. If you commit to 4 successive markets, your stallholder fee will be discounted to $55 per market ($220 paid upfront).  
  • All products being sold on the day must be communicated prior to the event. The AAPS want to ensure all stalls align with their values and do not conflict with other stallholder products.
  • Cancellation policy: if cancelling less than 10 days before the event, you will be asked to pay a $25 administration fee, however If cancelling less than 5 days prior to the event, site is non-refundable.
  • If the event is postponed or cancelled due to covid restrictions, stallholders will receive a full refund, and be given the option to attend the rescheduled date.
  • Bad weather plan: If AAPS decides to cancel the event prior to or during the scheduled time, you are able to request a refund. However if you decide to leave on your own accord and the event is not cancelled or postponed by the authority of AAPS, site is not refundable.

On the day

  • Stallholders will be able to set up any time after 8:00am on the Sunday morning. Arrival should be no later than 9:30am to ensure you’re ready to go! We will have plenty of volunteers on the day to help out with set up and pack down if you need.
  • Stallholders will have an allocated parking space.
  • The stallholders are responsible for their own payment resources. We recommend having both cash and card payment methods available.
  • Stallholders are responsible for managing their own waste. No waste generated by your stall is permitted to be thrown in the rubbish bins. Please bring sufficient weights for all marquees.
  • Signage utilised at the stall must be present in a professional manner and needs to be approved by the Manager on the day before it is displayed.
  • If you wish to donate any proceeds made on the day to AAPS, please let us know so displays can be made to promote any businesses choosing to give. This is not mandatory but greatly appreciated.
