Hugo is a handsome ex‑racer with a heart as big as his stride. He’s the kind of greyhound who lights up the moment he sees you, all bright eyes and hopeful tail wags. In the pen he can be a little bouncy and excited, but once he’s out and about he settles beautifully into a calm, gentle companion who just wants to enjoy the world at your side.

This lovely boy can be adopted together with his best friend Liza, they make a wonderfully sweet pair. If he’s adopted without her, Hugo could be rehomed with a medium to large female dog who is confident and playful but definitely not a male dog for this gorgeous boy. He’s not suitable for homes with cats, but he’s great with children and happy to soak up their affection.

Hugo walks very nicely on lead, taking everything in with that thoughtful greyhound curiosity. He can be slightly head shy at times, especially when meeting new people, but with gentle handling and a bit of patience he warms up quickly.
