Looking for a foster home

We are currently in the search for someone to foster our lovely Brittany, this lovely girl came to us after being rescued from the Queensland floods and made the long journey to our shelter for rehoming.

It was sadly found that she has Heartworm, this parasite is deadly unless treatment is performed as soon as possible. We are in need of someone to look after Brittany while she receives this treatment, however this treatment requires Brittany to pretty much not be overly exercised for a whole 6 months while the treatment does its work and kills the worms.

The criteria to foster Brittany would be ;
– Home more often than not to be able to monitor Brittany while she receives this treatment
– Comfortable with medium/large breed dogs Able to administer medication ( tablets)
– Able to travel to the shelter when Brittany requires check ups with the vet

We will provide you with all you need to look after Brittany, including food, bedding, medication, enrichment booklet. All you need to provide is love and attention.

Brittany is a lovely dog with such a big heart. She loves people and pats. She is very playful, but as she cannot exert herself too much during her time in foster, we will provide her foster carer with some other ways to provide enrichment.
