Astro

Foster-to-adopt

Astro is our tiny spitz-superstar sniffing around for a safe and loving foster/foster-to-adopt home that will give him the TLC he deserves.

He is yet another doggy that was transferred into our care from a local pound, and still adjusting to the hustle and bustle if life at AAPS.

He is simply adorable and is a mild tempered boy who prefers a gentle approach. He would love a quiet home with no young children and with people who had lots of time to spend with him.

Being a senior boy, he comes along with some extra special quirks. He is currently undergoing some testing to determine if he has Cushing’s disease and will need to be on a special diet and possibly a daily medication routine to get him back to being as healthy and happy as can be.

His foster/foster-to-adopt home will need to be located within a reasonable travel distance of our shelter vet clinic in Keysborough so that he can get all the care he needs over the coming weeks/months, including a dental procedure.

He walks very nicely on his lead and doesn’t mind the company of other dogs as long as they don’t get all up in his personal space. He would prefer to be the only dog but could co-exist with another older dog with a similar temperament who was very independent and didn’t rely on Astro for company.
