Bequests

Your gift will give them hope for the future

By including a gift to AAPS in your Will, you can help start many life-changing journeys for rescue pets and for families looking to adopt. By leaving a bequest, you will be providing veterinary care, rehabilitation and rehoming services for animals in need long after your lifetime.

Why AAPS?

Australian Animal Protection Society (AAPS) was established in 1972 and continues to care for hundreds of unloved and abandoned animals.

Although most animals in our care are dogs, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs, we accept ALL animals in need, including birds, native animals, and farm animals.

AAPS is a community-based, not-for-profit registered charity. We rely upon volunteers and community support together with our Opportunity Shops.

AAPS is committed to fulfilling its mission statement:

Your gift will help us to:

  • Feed, house, vaccinate, microchip and desex stray and unwanted animals that come into our care
  • Give abandoned and surrendered animals a second chance at finding a fur-ever home
  • Provide essential and on-going health care for animals in desperate need
  • Nurture and enrich the lives of pets and owners by promoting responsible pet ownership

Leave a gift in your will

By making a bequest to AAPS, you can help to build a positive future for the animals that come into our care.

Your bequest could include a percentage of your estate, specific monetary amounts or assets such as shares, or real estate or you can bequeath the ‘residue’ of your estate after you have provided for family and friends.

We strongly suggest that you consult a solicitor to ensure that your intentions are clear.

For a confidential discussion about making a bequest to AAPS, please get in touch with the shelter on (03) 9798 8415 and ask for a Committee Member to contact you.
